The significance of Ihram and its Prohibitions During Hajj

The white clothing worn during the Zill Hajj month symbolises Hajj prayer. Without Ihram clothing, the Hajj cannot be considered a true act of devotion. According to the Sunnah, travellers must dress in Ihram when undertaking the Hajj or Umrah. Through Alhijaz go's Cheap Umrah Packages All inclusive from Bolton with Group with Hotel and Flight, millions of Muslims go to Makkah, Saudi Arabia each year to worship at the House of Allah the Almighty.

The Muslim Ummah of the Prophet (PBUH) is required to adhere to all the regulations and prohibitions linked with the Hajj rituals related to the Sacred Journey in order to undertake Hajj devotion. Both Muslim men and women must enter in their Ihram condition in order to do the Hajj or Umrah.

Ihram Dress

Muslim males wear two simple white sheets of fabric as ihram attire, covering most of their bodies but leaving some exposed.

In contrast, Muslim women must display their hands and faces when wearing ihram, which covers the whole body. Islam forbids wearing any facial coverings when doing the Hajj.

The Ihram garment is worn to instill humility in the wearer. Everyone will be wearing the same thing, and there will be no such thing as wealthy or poor.

Hajj exemplifies unity since it unites Muslims who have completed Umrah or Hajj. It is also a reminder of the covering we shall wear when we first enter this planet, not only in regard to how we should dress.

Prohibitions of Ihram

• While women's pilgrims are permitted to wear their regular attire, men cannot wear sewn garments.

• Female pilgrims are not allowed to hide their faces, and male pilgrims are not allowed to cover their heads.

• Shaving or trimming one's nails and hair during Hajj.

• Women cannot wear cosmetics, and men cannot wear perfume.

Men are not permitted to wear socks or shoes during the Hajj.

• Hunting wildlife is also forbidden during the Hajj.

• Relationships and thoughts of a sexual nature are also prohibited

Holy Quran and Prohibitions of Ihram

Regarding the prohibitions of Ihram, Allah states in the Holy Quran, "And do not cut off your heads (hair) until the Hady (sacrificed animal) reaches the place of sacrifice." (Qur'an, verse 196)

• "Oh, you who believe! When you are in an Ihrams' state (for a Hajj or Umrah pilgrimage), do not kill the game. (Sacred Qur'an 5:95)

Therefore, remember these guidelines while you do Umrah and Hajj. To get a high reward, one must undertake Hajj with the Hajj Packages of AlhijazTravel UK and worship in accordance with the Sunnah.
